INBENTUS
VIATORE is a Class IIb transport ventilator developed for Inbentus, designed to deliver ICU-level respiratory support in emergency and transport environments. VIATORE strengthened Inbentus’ positioning as a specialized European manufacturer in critical care ventilation, enabling the company to extend its ICU-grade expertise into high-mobility scenarios and compete with established global players in emergency and transport ventilation.
At IDEA Design Strategic Hub, the project was driven by survival-focused ergonomics and precision mechanical engineering, following a Compliance by Design approach aligned with ISO 13485 medical device development principles. This allowed shock resistance, intuitive operation under pressure and high-performance ventilation to be integrated into a compact, autonomous device. Compliant with emergency medical standards and built for real-world use, VIATORE represents a medical-grade engineering solution ready for demanding clinical environments.
